Adele Schmitz Young  '43

Adele Schmitz Young, age 83, of Rome, Georgia, died October 27, 2008 at a local hospital.  A native of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Young was born on July 4, 1925, the daughter of the late William Lewis and Madaline Brewster Schmitz.

During an early part of her life she resided in Rome, then returned to California for a number of years and having returned to Rome in 1999.  She was a retired dental hygienist in California.  Mrs. Young was preceded in death by family members, Danny L. Young in 1998 and Hobart Junior Young in 1982.

Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Young Henry of North Las Vegas, Nevada; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild in Nevada, and her brother William Schmitz of California.
