We regret to send the news that Charles Getchell, Class of 1947, died on November 8, 2010.  He passed peacefully and without pain in the Hospice of the North Shore in Danvers, Massachusetts.

Though he left California many decades ago for a life in Europe and on the East Coast, he proudly kept his connections with South Pasadena High School and Stanford University.  He was a spirited, mischievious and intensely curious lover of the arts and literature, who was a wonderful father to us and a friend to many.
