Qualification in Submarines, SSBN Deterrent Patrol insignia (7 patrols), Navy Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Naval Reserve Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Expert Pistol, Rifle Sharpshooter

Duties:  Qualified in Submarines, Qualified Diving Officer of the Watch, Sonar Watch Supervisor, Command Chief, Fleet Intelligence Reserve Support Team, Pacific (Naval Reserve, North Island NAS)

Stationed:  USS Vance (DER387), USS Tang (SS563), USS Queenfish (SS393), USS Woodrow Wilson (SSBN624) - Commissioning Crew (Blue)

Submarine duty is/was the best. Great shipmates; great chow; extra money. Favorite memory:  initiation ceremony when I made Chief Petty Officer. What a blast!
