David, 71, died April 16, 2011 in Prescott, Arizona from complications of Parkinsons.  He was born November 14, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Robert and Elbeth (Caldwell) Houston.

Dave graduated from USC in 1966 with a BA in Psychology and in 1968 married Sandra Crawford.  They moved to Prescott in June of 1976, then to Phoenix in 1985 and back to Prescott in 2004.  David, along with Sandra, opened several Montessori schools.  He was an advocate for the Montessori Method of Education and Charter Schools and assisted Sandra in opening Montesssori Charter Schools in Glendale, Prescott Valley, Chandler, and Anthem, Arizona.  He retired from Arizona Montessori Charter Schools and Arizona Montessori Children's Academy in 2005.

David is survived by his wife Sandra; his daughter Kristina; his son Greg; and two grandchildren, Lauriana and Faith.  Our dearly beloved David will truly be missed.
