Robert B Blakely, Jr., age 74, passed away on February 23, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born September 21, 1942 in Los Angeles to Robert and Ruth Blakely. He is survived by his son David (Tammy) Blakely, daughters Sheri (Mike) Wells and Teri Stewart; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Toni.

Steve Ledder (1960)
I first remember Bob from his days in South Pas Little League. I had never before seen anyone
pitch a baseball so fast. I called him "Bullit Bob Blakely". Bob and I had a nice visit at our
45 year class reunion in 2005. Bob told me his grandson had become a pitcher, too, and
threw the ball as Bob had done. In Junior High, I had gone over to Bob's home on Floral
Park Terrace and played catch. He could really fire a baseball. Bob's dad, as I recall,
was a Captain in the South Pas Police Dept. A really nice guy, Bob Blakely. Steve Ledder
