Thomas Hamilton Brem Jr.

Thomas Hamilton Brem, Jr.
Devoted husband of Nadine Simeon-Brem.  Tom was born to Thomas Hamilton Brem and Elizabeth Bloss Brem in Los Angeles, California on December 25, 1940.  He married Lynne Brand.  Their son Jeffrey Thomas married Kimberly Megyesi in July of 2002.  They presented Tom with two granddaughters:  Elizabeth Claire (Ellie) in 2004 and Elena Catherine (Lena) in 2006.  He met Nadine Simeon through a mutual friend in 1987 and they later married.

Tom's career was in retail management and he won many "Top" and "Best" awards over the years.  While serving in the California National Guard, he participated in the action to quell the Watts Riots in 1965.

All remember him as an easygoing man with a great sense of honor and an abiding love of airplanes, vintage cars, loud music, and reading.  Nadine's family lived in the Northwest area so they made many trips there and also to visit many of her friends in Canada.  As his illness progressed and they were less able to travel, they became big LA Lakers fans.

He is the original owner of his 1971 VW Bug and later bought a 1988 Porsche 911.  His airplane collection consists of World War II airplane art such as paintings by Robert Taylor, Roy Grinnell, and others.  Many are signed by the artists and crews of the plane.  He also has a large collection of models of both cars and airplanes.

After a long illness he died of heart and lung complications on January 5, 2009.
