Mr. Steimle was one my favorite teachers. He seemed to share the same kind of charm and optimism of actor William Holden. I last ran across Mr. stiemle at El Monte airport where we swapped flying stories, His new aircraft and flying interest and Me, fresh out of USAF flight school. Rumor had it he showed such talent building his own backyard swimming pool that demand resulted in him starting California pools, ultimatly the states Largest pool builder. A fine Gentleman and a great Physics teacher.

Wayne Steimle was a wonderfully gifted teacher for highschool kids. He was a true gentleman and had a wonderful sense of humor  He started the Cimota Science Club (Cimota=atomic backwards). We had wonderful field trips to places like Griffith Park Planitarium, Science and Industry Museum and the most favorite summer weekend trips to Catalina with him and his lovely wife Lorene. We enjoyed the aquarium, bird aviary, mineature golf, diving for coins when the Catalina Steamer came in to dock and live dance bands in the evening at the dance hall over the Casino theater

He was very creative in getting military surplus items like a Link Trainer get set up in his work room. His open house displays were the most visited on parents open house nights.

The world is a far better place because of him.
