Francis Richard Sanderlin, 85, of San Diego, California, died October 28, 2007.  He was born in San Francisco on July 13, 1922 and was retired from the Navy.  He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Zoological Society of San Diego.

Survivors include his sons, John Sanderlin of Athol, Idaho, and Richard Sanderlin of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
