Joni Batson Rust

March 16, 1936 - May 23, 2021

Joni was a fun-loving sister. She was married to Richard Rust, San Marino High School graduate. They had one son, Alan, who was killed in a car accident at age 19. Richard passed away in 2005 from cancer. Joni was in accounting. She loved playing the piano and singing, gardening, crafts, jewelry, jazz music, and old movies.

Joni had dementia in her last few years and died from COPD. I miss the fun times we had visiting each other with our spouses and kids for BBQs and family get-togethers. Joni is survived by her sister Mary Batson Holliday '63, and nieces and nephews. Our brothers, Sherrill, Tom, Paul, Steve, and Phil Batson '57 preceded her in death. Love you Joni!
