Kwasi Owusu Ananeh-Firempong II

Dr Alexander Owusu Firempong (Owusu Ananeh-Firempong II) passed away in San Francisco on February 14, 2018. Beloved son of Sheila Ananeh-Firempong, he was born in Los Angeles on August 22, 1979. He earned a BS in Biology and an MS in Molecular and Cell Biology from Brandeis University. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from UCLA. 

He worked as an intern for the Office of the Surgeon General of the United States and served as a medical volunteer in Kumasi, Ghana. Dr Firempong completed his surgical residency at Duke University Medical Center. Presently he was a Hand and Microsurgery Fellow at the Buncke Clinic in San Francisco. An avid adventurer, he enjoyed wrestling, rock climbing, and skydiving. A man for all seasons, his accomplishments would fill many lifetimes.
