John White

August 7, 1930 - June 12, 2024

John's family settled in San Marino when John was in the 11th grade. He attended South Pasadena High School for his last two years of high school. These were truly John's halcyon high school years, He played on the football team but got dumped after the first game, (I guess because I was tall and skinny and chose the wrong position and I was the world's great klutz) but remained in the 'in' group. His 1929 Model T pickup truck carried many rooters to football games throughout the Conference area. They always had a fire fighting canister pump onboard to squirt any opposition rooters who might happen by. He had fun at all the sock hops, decorating for the school dances, many girlfriends, Easter Week in Balboa, summers at Corona del Mar beaches and all the things teenagers hold dear.
