Merrilyn Benedict Rogers

October 22, 1943 - August 26, 2022

My mom was born in Sydney, Australia and came to the U.S. in her early teens, graduating from SPHS in 1960. She married my dad, Ray Rogers SPHS '56 after attending Pasadena City College. We lived in Pasadena, San Diego, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Concord, California before settling in Puyallup, Washington in 1978.

After my parents divorced, my mom moved to Minnesota in 1988 to be near her parents. She went to massage therapy school, starting her own massage business; then went on to take nursing classes and became a nursing assistant until she retired in 2005. In 2021 she came to live with my family in Puyallup.

Merrilyn is survived by her children, Debbie Chung and Steve Rogers, and their families.
