Christine Hoffman Kennedy

After being in Office Administration for most of my working years with the same company, I was recently laid off due to the economic down turn.

I am finding it challenging looking for work at age 63!

Since my last posting, I was the administrative assistant to the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians working on an Indian Reservation in Mendocino County. Loved the job, challenge and boss. Had to have my first hip replacement after working for 18 months and decided spending time with family was more important so I retired and now enjoying my new grandson.

Since moving from Arcadia in 1988, we moved to Santa Rosa (1 hour No. of the Golden Gate Bridge). After our children were grown and gone, we moved to Windsor, 10 miles north of Santa Rosa in the heart of the wine country.

I have so many fond memories if South Pasadena as far back as I remember. My family moved from San Marino (big move) to So. Pas when I was 3.

I have told my children stories of how it "used to be" and how safe I felt growing up there. I remember one night when it was very hot and my mom and I slept on the floor on mats in our living room with the front door WIDE OPEN.

My memory of my first good friends were Sandy Rex (White) Class of 65 and Susie Nicholas (Petek) Class of 63 since we all lived on the same street. I am happy to say that I talk to Susie 3 times a week and Sandy a couple of times a month. Both became grandparents again since Christmas.

Mother, Helen Havill calss of 1928 passes 7/24/77.

Sister, Pat Hoffman (Norris) class of 1954 Passed on 1-11-08.

Besides Sandy and Susie, I see Nanci Searcey (Soltani) often since she lives nearby. I keep in touch with Geri Murphy, Donna Tomich, Donna Hoegeman...

This past June we had a Mini reunion at my house. We went wine tasting and had a great time laughing and remembering fond times. Besides Geri and Nanci, Sherri Lloyd, Pat Murphy, Tom Halleran, Dick Simon, Gail Anderson, Jim Cogan attended. It was a great time had by all!
