John Arthur Ballard (1968)

John I miss you Bro. Your spirit was just amazing, a really cool cat who I respected greatly. You never forgot me, and it was great to keep up with you on Facebook for many years. It was a shock when you passed. Deep respect and condolences to all who were toched by your kind spirit.

David O Graves (1968)

I have so many memories of John...all of them good. We were best friends for a number of years and had a lot of wild, adventurous and fun times together. He got me interested in playing the guitar then Dylan and even Dixieland Bands music. He could draw, skillfully build model cars from different parts. He was also unbelievably athletic and could run like the wind. All in all, just multi talented, humorous, infectious guy. I spent a lot of time at his familly home on Milan, up the street and, at times, he at mine. I was friends with Carol (who I had a huge crush on for awhile)  and had some memorable experiences with their family during the summer at San Clemente. I had completely lost touch with John by the end of 1969. I didn't hear from him or about him until 2018 when Steve Cipriani told me he was in regular touch with John who was living in the back east with "the love of his life". I was so surprised and happy to hear this news and so pleased to know he was OK. I planned to get in touch with him but before I could do so I saw, while looking at this IN MEMORY site,  that he had passed away. I was so shocked and saddened. I will always miss him but cherish the good times we had together. He was a such special person. I'm so glad to have had him in my life. My condolences to Carol and Allan and all of John's family.
