I graduated from Cal State LA in 1972 with my BS in nursing. I worked as a nurse until my retirement on 1/1/15, first at Children's Hospital, then at the Huntington Institute of Applied Medical Research and Huntington Memorial Hospital. When we moved to San Luis Obispo County I worked at French Hospital, then moved into home health and hospice nursing. I retired from Central Coast Home Health and Hospice as director of patient care services. I guess I didn't get enough; I am working part time admitting hospice patients to our service.

Moved from SP to Los Osos, CA in 1975 and lived there for 31 years. We moved out of the fog and into San Luis Obispo in 2006 and haven't looked back.

My parents were from Pasadena and Alhambra and met during WWII while working at Monitor Products on Fremont. We lived in Arcadia until 1960 when we moved to South Pasadena. We sold the house on Rollin St when my dad moved to San Luis Obispo in 2004.

I enjoy long-distance walking, especially walking on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail in northern Spain. I am a recreational swimmer. I also enjoy travel, reading, movies, and photography (have won prizes for this).

I pretty much like all music, with a few exceptions. I do agree that 60's music is the best ever.

Anything by Barbara Kingsolver, Allen Steele, Kim Stanley Robinson, Connie Willis or Pat Conrad.
I don't watch much TV, but sadly, watched True Blood avidly.

2017 I am enjoying retirement with the occasional work days. I love to travel with my daughter but this year my sister and I will take a river cruise on the Danube. Quite an elegant way to travel for me, since my travels usually involve walking and backpacks. We are also planning a trip to Oregon in August to be present for the total solar eclipse. Dry camping in some farmer's field; what could be better!
