School Memories

I enjoyed hanging out with my friends, during lunch break. I enjoyed Geometry; struggled, (but but later appreciated) 3 years of Latin; I enjoyed English and English Literature

Organizations, clubs, sports, other groups I've been in at school &/or since

I was rather shy, and not much of a 'joiner,' back in those days.

Milestones & Epiphanies

Celebrating 44th wedding anniversary, this year;
Having 4 great kids, their spouses, and 8 wonderful grandkids.
I was privileged to share 2 years as a military wife, when my husband, Rudy was in the USMC. I gained a deep appreciation of the patriotism, the sacrifice, and the difficult training of our military.
I learned that a California girl could adjust and live in Minnesota. (Let me tell you about the sub-zero temperatures, in the Winter, the blizzards, and the monster sized mosquitoes, in the Summer!)However--Minnesota is a little bit of heaven, with the beautiful lakes, forests, and rolling hills of farmland.
I learned, as a nurse, that life is fragile, but people can have amazing determination.

Pastimes & Hobbies

Travel. needlework, (crocheting, knitting, sewing,) reading, origami, gardening

Favorite Music, Songs, Bands

I enjoy many kinds of music, ranging from classical, choral, soft rock (I believe that is what they call the music from our era.) I like some Country and Western.

[Date] What's happening in my life now

My husband and I are both retired. Mike, Sandy and boys, as well as Mike, Laura and girls all ive in Alexandria. We help both families, when they need day care help with the grandkids. We also help Rudy's mother and his uncle maintain their independence--they are both octogenarians. We keep busy in fraternal organizations.
