Mr. Minard taught me how to drive. I have a vivid memory of his forcefully putting on the brakes at Colorado and Eagle Rock Blvd. while I was at the wheel in driver training. I always liked him as a student. In addition, I saw him from time to time some years later, and I respected him greatly.
I Ihad the pleasure of Mr. Minard in Geometry where i reveled in his bottom line attitude toward axioms and theoroms. 4 years after graduation, Jerry Vessey and I stopped by the school and found Mr. M. running detention class. after a few seconds of thought, he remenbered our names. A fine man and a great teacher, He is well remenbered and appreciated.
I, and 2 other students, took driver education from Mr. Minard during the summer of 1959 - just prior to the start of our Senior year. I can recall driving up the road to Mt. Wilson. Mr. Minard earned those gray hairs!
