My parents owned our SP house on El Centro as a rental first. When we were getting to school age we moved from highland park in 1972 for the SP schools. I started 3rd grade at Lincoln. Mrs Ito was my first teacher. She was so great. Here husband Mr Ito was also my Jr high shop teacher. He was a great guy. Such a great place to grow up. Leave my house in the mornings on my bike, return at sundown with no problems. Those were the days.
