Alice Jones Hutchinson

July 28, 1906 - December 8, 1994

South Pasadena, California:  Worked at South Pasadena Library and graduated from Occidental College with AB and teaching credential in 1928. Taught in San Bernardino. Studied Library Science at Graduate School UC Berkeley. During Depression taught in Long Beach, San Marino, Simi and Seal Beach. Married John Hutchinson, Los Angeles City School Principal, in 1937. Taught seven years in Los Angeles. By end of 1945 my husband was home from World War II, we had a daughter and two sons, and were living at our present address. While raising our children I was busy with church and civic affairs, Cub and Girl Scouts, PTA, and Pre-school teaching. Now I enjoy photography, gardening, beekeeping, seeing our children and two grandsons. Travel and helping my husband with his Retired Teachers IPS Chairmanship.
