Marian A. McBride Hart '30 of Atascadero passed away Saturday, March 15, 2008, at a local care facility at age 95.

Marian came to Atascadero with her family in 1952 and was a long time member of the Central Coast Church of Religious Science, the Atascadero Art Club, and past president and member of the Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo Art Association.

She was also a member of Los Amigos Rebekah Lodge No. 107 and past Noble Grand twice, the Atascadero Womens Club, Community Church Circle 5, The Thursday Club, the El Camino Doll and Bear club, the Monday painting group, and the evening greeter and attendant at the Chapel of the Roses Mortuary for 10 years.

Marian is survived by sons Dick (Jeri) Hart of Atascadero and Bob (Jan) Hart of Santa Rosa; grandchildren Troy (Debbie) Hart of Atascadero, Dr. Darren Hart of San Luis Obispo, Steven Hart of Indianapolis, and Jennifer Hart of Santa Rosa; five great-grandchildren; Makenzie, Justin, Nikayla, Natylie, and Devon; brother, John (Lucille) McBride of Chula Vista, CA., and four nieces and nephews (one niece, Linda (Jens) Hansen lives in Atascadero).

Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Merton in 2002, and two brothers.  A private family graveside service next to her husband took place on her birthday, Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008.

She will be missed for her sweet sensitive manner and constant smile.
