Stanley M Sundin - Class Of 1930

Stanley "Tanny" Sundin  '30  passed away on January 3, 2002, one day after his 90th birthday, of complications of a stroke.

Stan lived most of his life in South Pasadena, and had a forty-year career with Bank of America.  Over the years he belonged to the South Pasadena Christian Church and Oneonta Congregational Church, and taught Sunday school at both.  He was active in both Kiwanis and Lions Club, and was an accomplished public speaker.  He enjoyed a long and healthy retirement and traveled extensively throughout the world.  He is best remembered by his offspring as a wise and kind-hearted teacher, a hilarious storyteller, and a handyman who could fix just about anything.

He left behind three children; Stephen, Caral, and Ann; five grandsons, and three great-grandchildren.  His daughter, Ann Marie Sundin '72 and his grandson Ian Sundin Oosthuizen '98 both still live in South Pasadena.  We're proud to have three generations of SPHS grads in the family.
