Bessie Bernice Huff (Misterly) - Class Of 1931

Dec. 11, 1912 to June 28, 2005 The youngest of five girls in Kettering, Ohio. As a young girl she excelled in music and art. In 1929 Bessie moved to California. She attended South Pasadena High, Pasadena City College and Stickney Art School. She was a renowned artist, winning many awards. Bessie showed throughout the U.S. and Internationally. She was a member of the San Diego, La Jolla, and Laguna Beach Art Assn's. In 1976 she moved to Pacific Beach, Calif. and opened Art Walk Gallery. In 1991 she closed the gallery to travel. She left a legacy most only dream of as her art lives on. Survivors: children, Barbara Trepte (Zach) of San Diego and Tom Jr. (Margo) of Newport Beach; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
