Funeral for Judy Windoffer (21) and Paul H Wood 11 (24) will be Saturday at 2 p.m in the First Church of the Nazarene, Los Angeles. The couple were killed in a plane crash and will be buried side by side, Judy in a white casket and Paul in a grey casket wearing their wedding rings.They were to be married on Sept. 6. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don D. Windoffer.Paul was the son of Paul H. and Phon (Propst) Wood. Phon was a granddaughter of Sarah Grace (Honeyman) French. They had rented a plane and flew to Calexico.Returning to Burbank, he radioed the thermal control tower of strong turbulence in Banning Pass. They found the wreckage near the Prado Flood Control Basin south of Ontario. Paul had been living with his grandmother Mrs. Bessie (French) McCoy

Only in my adult years did I learn the big secret that she had gotten pregnant and was sent off for a secret pregnancy! She had a baby girl in 1968 with whom we were only able to make contact in about 1995, when she was 27! Her daughter, Shannon, now lives in the northeast US and has two boys.
