Anita May Cooke Mandeville, 94, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away July 17, 2015. Anita was born March 18, 1921 in Watertown, New York, grew up in California and lived in Huntsville for the past 28 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Jean Cooke, sister Dorothy Cooke (SPHS '36), and husband John Mandeville. She is survived by her son, Nick Van Valkenburgh of Huntsville; daughter, Sharon Alosi of Rustburg, Virginia; nephew Larry Johnson of Palm Springs, California; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
