Patricia Holt (Walker) - Class Of 1937

Patricia Holt (Walker)

Patricia Holt Walker died January 12, 2004 at Aspen Valley Hospital from complications of pneumonia. Married to the late Talbott Walker, she lived in Baltimore, Maryland for 50 years prior to moving to the valley in 1995. Patricia was a patron of the Basalt Library, an advocate of environmental issues and an accomplished pianist. She graduated from Pomona College as a music major.  A highlight of her summers was volunteering at the Aspen Music Festival.

Patricia couldn't face aging and ran away for her 80th birthday to the desert that she loved. Much to her delight in her wanderings she was a welcomed guest at a closed Native American ceremony near Tuba City, Arizona.

Born January 18, 1919, she was the feisty and loving mother and mother-in-law of Hunt and Nancie Walker of Snowmass Village, Tottie 'Kelly' Walker of Denver, Richard and Kathleen Walker of Basalt, and Susan and Rod Salm of Kailua, Hawaii. Grandchildren Talbott and Tara Walker, Ryan and Anna Walker and Josephine and Lauren Salm knew Patricia as 'Moppat.'
