Dorothy Jean Harnly Taylor returned home to her Heavenly Father on January 13, 2015. She was born in Redlands, California on March 13, 1927, daughter of Miles Harnly and Vivian Van Eman Harnly. She is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Hicks.

Dorothy married Dr Louis Taylor in 1949 and had four children:  Daniel (Cynthia Holbrook) Taylor, Andrew (Jana Raines) Taylor, Jean (Jared) Lee, and David (Cathy Thanos) Taylor; 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Dorothy and Louis raised their children in Anaheim. She was a graduate of the University of Southern California Dental Hygiene program. She was president of the OC Dental Hygienist Society, the Garden Grove Stake Relief Society, and the Del Mar Stake Primary organizations. Dorothy was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and Louis served as missionaries in Mississippi and for many years in the San Diego Temple. Her love, generosity, and example will continue to guide her family.
