Eugene 'Bud' O'Hare died at home on May 4, 2017. He is survived by Carol, his wife of 33 years; children Kathleen (Jim) Hallam, John (Sharon), Molly (Don) Edgar, Brendan, Eileen (Johnnie) Skinner, Martin (Cindy Van Sickle), and Tim (Amy Tennant); stepson James Reynolds; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Betty Louise Cormier. Bud was predeceased by wife Emily in 1970.

Born April 2, 1931, he was a native of San Marino and he graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Administration. His first jobs were in the Central Valley. He moved his family to Sunnyvale in 1964 and worked as a cost accountant for various technology firms, retiring in 1996. Bud enjoyed bicycling, backpacking, hiking, and traveling. He was an active volunteer, serving on the boards of several non-profit organizations. His family and friends will remember him for his kindness and integrity.
