Clyde L. Smith died July 20, 2009.  Born in Akron, Ohio in 1929, Clyde grew up and went through school in San Marino, California.

After graduating from Claremont Men's College and serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, Clyde settled in San Gabriel, CA, where he raised his family and furthered his career.  In 1978, Clyde moved to the Seattle area and continued his career and retirement, enjoying boating, camping, and playing bridge.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marcia (Moore) of Seattle, son and daughter-in-law, Geoff and Laura Ann Smith-Moritz of Solano Beach, California; daughter Janet L. Smith of Seattle, Washington; sister Jane Tiffany (SPHS '41) of San Jose, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
