Constance Wille (Larsh) - Class Of 1947

Constance Wille (Larsh)

Constance Ann Wille Larsh, 88, of Richmond, California, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019. Born August 16, 1930 in Philadelphia, she was the adoptive and beloved daughter of Jack and Miriam Wille.

After her father died when she was four years old, Connie, her younger sister Barbara, and her mother took a train across the country, moving close to her grandparents in South Pasadena. When her mother died, the girls moved in with and were raised by their loving grandparents, Harry and Gertrude Homer and Aunt Eleanor Homer. After graduating from University of California Berkeley and Heald's Business School, Constance married Almon (Bud) Larsh and they began their family. She was a loving mother who did volunteer work with many organizations, most notably the AAUW, Boy Scouts, Camp Fire Girls, and her church, while raising her three children. Constance was a faithful member and good friend of her congregation, volunteering as church secretary and treasurer for many years, and in many other capacities, first at St Phillips and then at Christ the Lord in Pinole. Professionally she worked as a tax accountant, enjoying the numbers as well as the interaction with the many and varied clients.

Connie loved her family, friends and CAL football. She also enjoyed knitting, philately, gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching Errol Flynn movies, and writing to and visiting her Scottish penpal of 74 years, Barbara Gordon. She is survived by three children, Gerald (Joe) Larsh, Sandra Larsh Kuptz, and Kevin Larsh; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and her sister Barbara Wille Paxson (SPHS '50).
