This is my Beloved Pop ! :) The greatest Dad, and proudest Grandpa that ever lived ! :)
Pop was born February 17, 1912 in Pomona where his father was the minister of the Pomona Presbyterian Church.
He graduated from SP/SMHS in 1930. He and Mother, (Catherine Salinger Creswell ' 32) , met at SP/SMHS, and went on together to UCLA where Pop was a proud Beta Theta Pi ! They were married April 10, 1937.
Susan, Creswell Walling, (me), '56, was born October 29th 1938. Cynthia Creswell Kupper, '64, came along on February 28th, 1946. His youngest, Mary Creswell Swenson,'67 was born December 5th, 1948.
During WWII Pop was the accountant in charge of radar. He went on to be the Treasurer of Phillip's Avaiation in South Pasadena. He worked there until he reitred. His best friends were his classmates from SPHS & he stayed in So. Pas., and in close touch w so many special people !!
Pop passed away February 24, 1980, of cancer, at the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena. He was only 68.
I figit to mention that Pop, (Bud Creswell), was chosen on of the 7 Tigers for 1930, and also won the Weldon Fair Play Award at graduation. He was a kind, giving and honest guy !!
