Bill was born in Toronto, Canada on December 24, 1940, moved to California in the 1950s and graduated from South Pasadena High in 1959. In February 1960 he joined the US Army and became an expert marksman; he was honorably discharged in January 1963. He graduated Pepperdine University with a BA and pursued his MA at Redlands University, forcusing on business, economics, and finance.

Bill's career path began at Graybar Electric. He worked there for 26 years, retiring at the age of 51. He was an outstanding salesman, receiving numerous awards including the prestigious Light Brigade Award from General Electric and Graybar. Bill married Janie Power in September 1967 and they enjoyed travel; filling three passports, with one needing additional pages. For Bill and Janie's 25th wedding anniversary, they went away one week each month of the entire year. Their life together was remarkably blessed with the opportunity to not only share their lives, but work beside one another in the development and management of Canyon Appraisal Services.

Janie recalls, "Bill was a playful, intelligent, kind, caring, spiritual man who share his sense of wonder, creative opportunities, new beginnings, and fresh experiences with love exceeding any promise made on our wedding day. That love grew to encompass us even on the day of his death, December 2, 2014 where he breathed, 'Let me go back to the dream, let me leave, I want to go, let me love you more'."

Bill is survived by his wife Janie, three brothers, Dave Currey '61, Bob Currey '62, and Scott Currey '67. He was predeceased by brother Brock Currey '66.
