James R Fetridge, Jr - Class Of 1958

James R Fetridge, Jr

Born July 2, 1940, Jim passed away the week of August 13, 2012, after an eight year battle with Parkinson's/Multiple Systems Atrophy.  He is survived by his wife, Susan O'Malley; his two daughters, Rebecca and Erin Fetridge; his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Pam MacFetridge and their two sons, Aidan and Campbell.

Jim grew up in southern California in South Pasadena and Lancaster.  He served in the Seabees in Vietnam and later moved to Washington, living in Issaquah and later in Seattle.  In order to accommodate Jim's declining mobility, the family moved to Blaine, Washington in 2008.

Jim was the owner/publisher of the Automotive Index, a vehicle identification book created by his grandfather in 1922 originally as a means for car salesmen to identify automobiles for resale.  After returning from Vietnam, Jim took over management of the company until its sale in 2005.  His working career also included Cascade Mountain Ski, commercial real estate leasing with First Western Properties, and Membership Coordinator at the Pacific Science Center.  He was active in the St. Joseph School and Church community.
