Noel Dahlen

May 28, 1947 - August 9, 2020

Noel, age 73, of Santa Ana, death caused by a heart attack is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laurel; and children, Jenny, Julie, Peter, and Joy; and six grandchildren.

Noel earned a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from UCSB in 1973 and 1976. In 1992, he earned a Master's degree in Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton. He worked as an electronics engineer and a systems engineer before becoming a computer instructor at Santa Ana College and taught there for 32 years. He was an excellent instructor, well liked and respected for both his knowledge and wisdom, as well as his humor. He loved Jesus and his life showed it. He never complained about the various health issues he had. Noel was always ready to help anyone with a need; he was patient and kind with nearly everyone he met. Babies loved snuggling with him. He disciplined his children with love and logic and loved his wife of 48 years til the day he died.
