Isabel Luce

November 22, 1894 - September 28, 1955

Miss Ruth Isabel Luce, died September 28 as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident that morning. Funeral services were conducted at Louisville, Kentucky.

Miss Luce, a graduate of Occidental College, did mission work in the United States for the World Gospel Mission during the past 12 years. She was enroute to the World Gospel Mission State Prayer Band Convention at one of the stations in Eastern Kentucky when the accident occurred. Miss Luce was a Methodist missionary in China from 1920 to 1927, when civil warfare caused her to flee. She continued her missionary career in Aftrica and Latin America.
