Mary McEniry Sturgeon

June 30, 1903 - September 11, 1996

Mary M Sturgeon, 93, died on September 11, 1996. Born 1903 in Safford, Arizona and lived in Monrovia for over 55 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Judge John Sturgeon and daughter, Rosemary Sturgeon Bornt; she is survived by her son, John (Mary Ann) Sturgeon of San Marino; daughter, Suzanne (Hank) Anton of Pueblo, Colorado; sister Nancy McEniry Stalkamp (SPHS '42) of San Marino; brothers Thomas McEniry (SPHS '29) of San Marino and Robert McEniry (SPHS '23) of Memphis, Tennessee; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Her community activities included Monrovia Womans' Club, American Red Cross, Monrovia Tennis club, Monrovia League, PEO Chapter M and her volunteer work with youth included:  Cub Scout Leader, Girl Scout Leader, PTA Board member and Tri Hi Y Leader.
