Jeanetta Cabot Yerxa (November 12, 1912 - May 12, 2000) was born in the Pasadena area but moved to Oakland as an infant. Her father, Harry Yerxa, owned a chain of grocery stores and after his early death in 1920, Jeanetta and her mother, Edna Staples, moved back to Pasadena.
Jeanetta graduated from South Pasadena High School and attended UCLA and was active in its alumni organization, Gold Star.
