Lois Johnson Ledder, age 76, died November 6, 1990 of cancer while living in Carlsbad, California. She is survived by her three sons, Steve, Fred, and Dave; daughters-in-law, Kern, Terry, and Cynthia; grandson Brian, and sisters Ruth, Florence, and Norma.
Lois was a wonderful person, mother, and grandmother. She was the best!
Lois Johnson Ledder was my mother and no one could ask for a better one. Our dad died suddenly in 1953, leaving our mother to care for 3 young boys. We moved from Culver City to South Pas that year to be close to our grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. Our mother raised us (Steve, Fred and Dave) by herself. It seemed like she was the unofficial neighborhood mom to all the kids on the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Meridian Avenue. Our mother had enough love in her heart for everyone. Later, she became a grandmother - to my son Brian Ledder. Brian and she were very close from the beginning and stayed that way until she died in 1990. Our mother was a remarkable person and we were very blessed to have her in our lives.
