Mary Elizabeth (Mebs) Jones Skinner, 91, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away March 21, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Nina Jones of South Pasadena, California. She graduated from South Pasadena High School and attended UCLA, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Skinner, and her brother, Roy T. Jones (SPHS '37). She attended Grace Church in Roanoke for many years. She is survived by her sister and husband, Midge (SPHS '39) and Norm Gamble of Oceanside, California; her sister-in-law, Virginia Jones of Fullerton, California; her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Babbs Skinner, of San Pedro, California; her daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Dave Owen of Canastota, New York and Sunny and Bob Saville of Salem, Virginia; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a niece, Patti Ruckert of Anaheim Hills, California. Mebs also has numerous other relatives living in California.
