Frank T Muraoka - Class Of 1933

Frank T Muraoka

Frank Muraoka passed away on September 11, 2006 at the age of 93 in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He is survived by his wife Thelma, three sons, and five grandchildren.  He is also the last surviving sibling among six children.

In 1973, he retired as a civil service engineer with the United States Army Headquarters Support Activity.  He was a very proud and dignified man, especially since he graduated from South Pasadena High School.  There he met many people who befriended him, and the numerous pictures in his album show how many he met along the way.

Impressed by his diploma, he would present it to the family on many occasions.  Graduating from high school at that time was like graduating from college with a Bachelor's degree today.  It is especially impressive because he came from Hawaii and sought an education on the mainland.  Education was always important to him.  If he were here today, he would let all students of South Pasadena High School know, "Education is the most important thing in your life, for education is one of the most powerful keys that opens the doors to the future."
