Charles Griffith Plumb

Charlie Plumb passed away July 30, 1998 in Littleton, Colorado from complications of emphysema.

Charlie joined the Navy in 1941 and served in the South Pacific repairing airplanes during most of World War II.  He later graduated from Syracuse University in Colorado Springs.  He was a freelance commercial artist in Denver for most of his life, with his studio specializing in graphics and design.  He later entered the field of fine art and his work was represented in galleries in Taos, Santa Fe, Scottsdale, and Denver.  Charlie was also talented in metal work, wood-carving and furniture design, and he authored two books on the art of designing and constructing clocks.

Charlie is survived by his wife Jean, three children, four stepchildren, and many grandchildren.
