Carroll D Wood, Jr, supervising mathematician for the Edwards Air Force Base with headquarters at the Vista del Arroyo building in Pasadena, died at a Los Angeles hospital May 7, 1964 after a lengthy illness.

Mr Wood, a native of California, had lived his entire life in the Pasadena vicinity. A graduate of San Marino and South Pasadena schools, Mr Wood also was an alumnus of Occidental College.  He had been a long-time member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association.

He is survived by his widow, Jean, who has been a teacher in Pasadena City schools for many years; three children; a sister, Mrs Janet Carlson (SPHS '42) of San Marino; and his parents, Mr and Mrs Carroll D Wood, Sr of San Marino.
