Harry C Wiese

Harry C. Wiese passed away peacefully Thursday, May 15, 2008, at his Cayucos home. His loving wife, Belva Lee, wished him God's speed and kissed him goodbye as he left this world. Harry was born in December 1928 in Davenport, Iowa. He moved with his parents and brother to Los Angeles in 1930. After he graduated from South Pasadena High School he enrolled in Aeronautical Engineering at USC, followed by U. S. Navy flight training in Florida, and then UC Berkeley.

He married Belva Lee in 1950 and their son, Steven, was born in 1952. After he received his degree in petroleum engineering, Harry started his career with Schlumberger Well Services and continued with them until his retirement in 1983. Harry loved the company and his job. He worked in engineering and management in Central California, Texas, Alaska, Dubai and Saudi Arabia, relocating for each assignment. In retirement he fulfilled his dream of living with his wife in beautiful Cayucos. Harry volunteered his time serving on the Cayucos Citizens Advisory Council. He also enjoyed reading, traveling, golf and his family and friends. He is now healed and free of suffering. He is survived by his wife, Belva Lee Wiese of Cayucos; son, Steven Wiese of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Heidi and Brian; and brothers Chuck '48 and Joel Wiese. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Harry Sr.
