Gary Robert O'Keefe, age 65, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on July 7, 2005, in Las Vegas, from complications of pneumonia. He was born on April 19, 1940, at St. Marys Hospital, Madison, son of Robert and LaVeda O'Keefe. Gary achieved the highest honor available in scouting, Eagle Scout. He graduated from South Pasadena High School in California in 1958.

Gary started his career in casinos in Lake Tahoe in 1960. After Lake Tahoe, he became a casino manager at Circus Circus Casino, Las Vegas, between 1974 and 1992. He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Lowell) Watkins (SPHS '59) of Delavan/Tucson, Arizona; his brother, Stan (Mary Ellen) O'Keefe of Madison; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Watkins of Washington, D.C., Brent Watkins of Tucson, Ariz., and Thomas O'Keefe of Madison. His mother, LaVeda, and his father, Robert, preceded him in death.
