Marshall Winslow Shepherd - Class Of 1958

Marshall Winslow Shepherd

Marshall Winslow Shepherd, September 20, 1940-January 13, 2007. Marshall battled long and hard against cancer and now he rests. He was preceded in death by his father, Winslow Shepherd and mother, Millicent Matthews. Marshall was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from South Pasadena High School and Pima Community College.

Marshall served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1970 and was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama. He settled in Tucson where he owned and operated an auto salvage and metal recycling business and later worked for Raytheon Missile Systems for ten years as a supervisor. Marshall retired to Washington State and spent the last 12 years in the Spokane area. He will always be remembered for his love of hunting and especially fishing. Marshall is survived by his daughters, Stacy (Michael) Henrich and Stephanie Shepherd. He was the beloved brother of Sarita Cabanillas, Miriam (Gary) Billiard, and Robert (Connie) Benner. He was uncle to Andrew, Christina (Jane), Jonathan (Allysen), Jennifer (Nat), Emily and Sara. Our family thanks the medical staff at Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane, Washington, for their attentive care. Marshall was a soldier until the end and always stayed true to himself. He will be missed.
