Marjorie Stevens (Biersner) - Class Of 1962

Marjorie Stevens (Biersner)

Marjorie Stevens Biersner  '62  of Silver Springs, Maryland, passed away on April 8, 2007.  She is the beloved wife of Robert Biersner, devoted mother of Lauren Everhart and Brenda Bonazelli, and caring grandmother of Kenneth Woodruff, Jr., Kassandra Everhart, and Gina Bonazelli.  Marjorie was the daughter of Edwin and Sylvia Stevens; her parents, and her only sibling, Patricia Kingsbury, predeceased her.

She spent her early years in South Pasadena, California, graduating from South Pasadena High School in 1962.  She married Robert in December 1963, after attending LaVerne College for one year.  Later, she attended colleges in Montreal, Canada and Pasadena, California, and graduated from nursing school in Pensacola, Florida in 1975.  She worked as a nurse for over 30 years, with nearly 22 of those at Holy Cross Hospital.  At Holy Cross she was a post-operative recovery nurse and then a nurse on the mother-baby unit.

Marjorie enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, drawing, and painting in watercolor.  She also spent many happy days with her family (and the family cat) at their lakeside home near Solomon's Island, Maryland.
