Dorothy Jane Stevenson (Killingsworth) - Class Of 1940

Dorothy Jane Stevenson (Killingsworth)

Dorothy Jane (Stevenson) Killingsworth passed away on January 23, 2009, at the age of 85.  Dottie attended South Pasadena schools, graduating from SPSMHS in 1940.  She then attended Pasadena Junior College and entered nurses training at Huntington Memorial Hospital where she became an RN.  During her school years Dottie was very involved in extra-curricular activities, appearing on the South Pasadena Rose Parade float and serving as a cheer leader at PJC.  Among her activities in the nursing field, she was an American Red Cross volunteer for many years.

Her daughter and son attended South Pasadena schools, and her daughter and son-in-law's three children attended So Pas schools.  She found much happiness watching her family grow.  Her love and support, her positive thinking, and sense of humor touched everyone close to her.

Submitted by her daughter, Gail (Killingsworth) Smith, SPHS '67
