Marjorie H De Bolt (Wellington)


Marjorie Boltie LeCompte Wellington, nee DeBolt, beloved wife of Charles W. Wellington, died on June 21, 2011, in Lemont, Illinois surrounded by her family.

Born in Columbus, Georgia and raised in Pasadena, California, Boltie was a longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida.  Boltie spent two tours of duty in Jacksonville as the young wife of a Navy officer.  Boltie returned to Jacksonville as a widow with her two children.  There she met Bill Wellington who shared with her his love of boating.  Boltie soon became a boating enthusiast and helped Bill establish their business, Wellington Boats, Inc.  As they worked together building and delivering custom yachts, Boltie and Bill made many wonderful friends and traveled all over the world.  

Boltie was predeceased by her first husband, Captain Melville LeCompte, and her beloved son Christopher Blinn LeCompte.  Boltie will be greatly missed by her husband Bill; daughter Melissa LeCompte Rehfus; daughter-in-law Karen LeCompte; grandchildren Ellen Rehfus Bullard (Corey), Emily Rehfus, Joseph Rehfus, and Alison Rehfus; and sisters Julie Stout (SPHS '52) and her husband Ben, and Patricia Higgins (SPHS '49) and her husband Jim.
