John Keys Duarte, age 88, born July 21, 1918 in Long Beach, California, to Pedro and Virginia Bowen Duarte.  He died December 11, 2006 while playing golf in Valencia, California.

John was a World War II Veteran.  He was a pilot and served in the Asiatic Pacific campaign for which he received five Bronze Stars.  He was a UCLA graduate and a cast member of the First National Touring company of "My Fair Lady".  In 1965 he joined I.A.T.S.E. and after 25 years he retired to the Palm Springs area.

John is survived by daughter, Suzanne Michele Duarte; son, Stephen John Head; ex wife, Sandy Duarte Buell; son, Chris, daughter-in-law, Kit; beloved granddaughter, Elyse Duarte; son, Dean; and daughter-in-law Michelle Duarte.
