Jean French (Clemens) - Class Of 1939

Jean French (Clemens)

Jean Pattison French Clemens  '39

March 18, 1922 - May 25, 2008, A Life of Service.  Residing in Hemet since the 1940s, Jean's legacy is a living example of giving of one's self.  Thirty years at Hemet Valley Hospital as an RN and ER supervisor with the highest standards from Columbia University Nursing program.

Relocating from the east coast at the age of 12, Jean began creating an extended family that has followed her throughout her lifetime, bringing her undying wit and wisdom to all.  Her caring for all life has provided solace, charity, and family-values to many throughout a long life.  As her Hemet long-time caregiver and companion Nancy Baca said, "Jean was the most considerate person I ever met.  I think of her everyday."

Jean was preceded in death by Warren Clemens, husband of 53 years.  Jean has left a family of six children, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many other family members who will dearly miss her.  Her children:  Beth Clemens, Don Lovell, Dr. John D. Lovell, Michael Clemens, Lorna Hulstrom, Martha Lovell-Reggio, and all the extended family.
