Kathleen Hughes died September 21, 2009.  She was born March 30, 1918 to Seena and Michael James Hughes in Seattle, Washington.

Kathleen was reared in South Pasadena and graduated from South Pasadena-San Marino High School in 1935.  She graduated from the University of Redlands in 1939.  Kathleen served as a social worker in San Bernardino County prior to moving to Los Angeles where she worked for IBM.  She later established the accounting firm of Action Data Service which she operated for a number of years.  Following her retirement, she was an active volunteer in the Pasadena community.

She is survived by a sister, Sheila Butler of McAllen, Texas, and a niece Kathleen Dowdy of Amarillo, Texas.
